Rolling Stone captured the essence of Jenna Jameson when it said she’s "the woman who put the star in porn star." AVN concluded that Jenna is the top female adult star of all time. Jenna officially retired from performing in porn as of early 2008, but she continues to run her successful Club Jenna studio and website. She will always be remembered as the woman who did more than perhaps anyone else to bring XXX closer to the mainstream. "I've always embraced my hardcore roots, but becoming a household name was an important thing to me," Jenna once said. Mission accomplished, Jenna! Jenna showed up on a 2007 episode of tattoo artist/tattoo studio owner Kat Von D's TLC hit reality series L.A. Ink, getting a Joan of Arc quote tattooed across her upper back by Kat herself. In February 2008, Virgin Comics released a horror comic book entitled Jenna Jameson's Shadow Hunter, which it co-created with Jenna. She starred in the 2008 horror-comedy Zombie Strippers. Through it all, Jenna has battled personal troubles (including addiction, two failed marriages, fertility treatments, and skin cancer) and come out triumphant. She began dating mixed martial artist Tito Ortiz in 2006 after the two met on Myspace. While presenting an award at the 2008 AVN Adult Movie Awards, Jenna introduced Ortiz and talked about their relationship.
