A member of multiple adult industry halls of fame, Jamie Gillis was a native New Yorker born on April 20, 1943. His many aliases also included James Gillis, Sir Jamie Gillis, Dorian Patch, Jamie Grill, James Kleeman, Ronny Morgan, Buster Hymen, Al Cianelli, Jamie Smith, and (for gay film roles) James Rugman. Jamie was bisexual in his personal life but never had sex with another man on film, although he did appear in non-sex roles in gay porn. During a career that spanned from 1971-2004, Jamie appeared in well over 600 films and directed more than a dozen. Some of his most notable performances can be seen in Opening of Misty Beethoven, Roommates, Bobby Sox, Second Skin, Ecstasy Girls, Ultra Flesh, WPINK TV, New Wave Hookers 1 & 5, Deep Throat 2, Blame It On Ginger, the On the Prowl and Back on the Prowl series, and many films in the Swedish Erotica and Dirty Dirty Debutantes series. Jamie never shied away from a taboo and was often seen in fetish flicks as well as mainstream porn. He died of melanoma in NYC on February 19, 2010, only a few months after diagnosis.
